Finally Finish Something Game Jam

Hello everyone!

This game was intended as an entry into the Finally Finish Something Game Jam but has since the start of its development become something more of a passion project. When I started I initially told myself that I was going to just make something for the jam even if it was bad since this was my very first game but then by the end of the first week I realized I had something that demanded a bit more of a commitment from me than that. Even though this is my very first game I've decided to give it the very best I'm currently capable of as a game developer and see what it turns into. I'm not a programmer though, I'm just an artist and a music producer so my plan is to align the game's scope with that in mind.

I've always wanted to make games, ever since I was a kid in elementary school playing on my little grey Playstation. Unfortunately, between growing up not being able to afford groceries, water, electricity (couldn't even escape into video games once that went out...) and even rent at times and also all of the traumatizing bullying I endured I gave up on that dream very early on. I never stopped thinking about that dream however and art and music were the only things that kept me going for years and years so now, almost 20 years later, I've decided to revive that dream and see what I can do with my artistic abilities. There's never been a better time for an artist to be a solo game developer and if all I'm doing is sitting around waiting for my inevitable end anyway then why not? What do I have to lose? I finally got the push I needed from a combination of something my therapist said to me, the fact I just turned 30 in december, new years, and stumbling upon the 'Finally Finish Something' Game Jam. I'm finally starting down the road that my child-self had always yearned of travelling. I'm looking forward to all that I'll learn, all that I'll make, and seeing where this road leads for me. For the first time in ages, I'm genuinely excited about something.
