Bug-fix and gameplay update patch
Diary of Broken Dreams (Demo) » Devlog
Thank you everyone who's played the game so far, I got a lot of valuable input from all of you and also found some bugs and design flaws that I had previously missed thanks to all of you. I've actioned some of the feedback I got already and fixed the aforementioned bugs and as of now a new build of the alpha has gone live.
What changed? :
- Fixed an issue that allowed players to completely skip or bypass the desk drawer puzzle.
- Extended the battery life of the flashlight by almost double and by extension improved the efficacy of battery pickups.
- Fixed a typo in the read text of one of the notes.
- Removed most of the delay that would occur before picking up the apartment key.
- Added informative subtitles in the apartment room containing the second key to inform the player about the rooms physics objects and how to interact with them.
- Adjusted the character's run speed to feel both more natural and less frustrating
- Redesigned some aspects of the aforementioned drawer puzzle to make it more visually apparent what the player is meant to do.
- Various other small tweaks that should only affect the flow of the game on a minor level.
Thank you again for playing and taking an interest in my project and just like last time, please let me know if you have any feedback for me about this game!
- Michael
